QUILTERS OF SC 2008 RETREAT

This past weekend I attended the Quilters of SC Retreat at beautiful Whilte Oak Conference center. I took a class from Priscilla Hair called Going around in circles. It was a great weekend and Priscilla being the Queen of The Ugly Fabric Contest was available in all her Royal Costume along with her ladies in waiting at the Saturday Evening Show.

For my class project I brought several oriental fabrics and panels and used them to create this wall hanging. It is not finished yet, I still have to sew in some of the circles, add a border and quilt it but this is what I had done in class by the end of the weekend.

Jeanne, when I did the Sunday walk-around in your room, your quilt was my fav. I didn't know it was yours until now. Can't wait to see it finished.

THANKS LADIES. I hope I can get time to work on it and finish it up instead of a packing it away with all the others. The trick seems to be to go home and leave it out long enough to get something finished. I have most of the circles sewed in just need to find a border print and then quilt it.
Judy did you hear anything from Houston. trying to find out how you did but I don't think the awards are posted yet I have a good feeling about it for you. Sure hope so. Jeanne

Jeanne - what a hoot that retreat must have been. Crazy hats and lots of smiles. That's my kind of retreat.
